Statement ABOUT 8/9/19 Episode

Since our launch last year in November we have covered various controversial topics in games from lawsuits to security breaches to whatever else is out there. The support has been amazing and we haven’t missed a week yet.

However a month or so ago, we recorded an episode set for release today that just didn’t feel entirely appropriate to deliver in lieu of recent horrific mass shootings, such as those that occurred in El Paso and Dayton. While monstrosities of a similar nature have been discussed on the podcast before, we talked it over as a team and decided the best action would be to delay the episode as it was not ever designed to properly tackle the subject and instead release an entirely separate episode next week regarding a different topic until we feel that there was a better time to share this one.

We’ve stated before how unfortunate it is that matters like this will always hold the potential to be relevant unless major changes are done, but until then we thought the most important thing for us to do with our fun video game program would be to show respect to any and all of those who could be affected. We do apologize to our listeners looking forward to new content today. Stay tuned for more episodes soon and perhaps even a future show more explicitly suited to host a careful dialogue about these issues in a way we find responsible.
